The annual Broadstairs Food Festival returns next weekend – and with a bumper crop of over 100 gourmet food stalls to celebrate this harvest season there’s plenty to sink your teeth into!
With the biggest selection of local artisanal produce in the festival’s history, foodies will find plenty to tantalise their taste buds: with everything from Kentish sausages to handmade chocolate and even a vintage tea bar on offer – perfect for cultivating that rustic, pumpkin-spiced Instagram aesthetic that comes back into vogue this season.
And there are plenty of ways to get involved, with a special theatre marquee hosting a series of workshops and culinary skills classes; as well as a ‘Meet the Food Writers’ panel, and even a masterclass on creating the perfect cheeseboard. You gouda brie mad to miss it!
There’s plenty on offer for the youngest members of the family, with face-painting available all weekend – whilst on Sunday the theatre will feature colour-in tablecloths and table mats, as well as a story-teller.
It’s also your only chance to buy tickets for the enormously-popular ‘Halloween Trail’ from the Chamber of Commerce stall. The trail takes place during half term on Friday, October 25, at 2.30 pm.
The festival takes place between the 4th-6th of October at Victoria Gardens and Promenade. Entry is free with donation buckets on hand to cover costs.
